Candidacy Fees PhD students successfully meeting candidacy requirements between Sep. 1 and Dec. 31, 2018 will have their tuition fees changed to a continuing rate in Winter Term 2019. (Graduate Calendar C.1.1).
Graduate Student Health and Dental Insurance: Opt out deadline Sep. 21 is the deadline to opt out of the student insurance plan if you a have alternate coverage.
Use Schedule Builder web tool to register for courses In your Student Center, click on the green "Schedule Builder" button (top right) to build a potential class schedule and determine courses where there is a time conflict. To waitlist a course that conflicts with a class you are already enrolled in, go to your Student Centre and enroll on the waitlist for the course you want using the “Edit” or “Swap” function. November Conferral of Degree The deadline to apply for graduation (through your Student Centre) is Sep.15, 2018. Course-based students must have all degree requirements completed by Aug. 31, 2018. Thesis -based students must have all degree requirements completed by Sep. 21, 2018, including submission of documents to the Faculty of Graduate Studies and Thesis to the Vault.

In keeping with national standards, all University of Calgary researchers (faculty, students, residents, postdoctoral fellows and research staff) engaging in human participant research must complete human research ethics training prior to submitting an application for ethics review. Once complete, you are required to upload the training certificate to your researcher profile in IRISS. Please follow the Guidance document for updating your researcher profile. Principal Investigators will be responsible for ensuring that all study team members have completed one of the above noted human ethics research training courses. Please note that failure to complete human ethics research training will result in delays in processing ethics applications.
