This message contains important information about research operations.

Please refer to the COVID-19 Response: Guidance for Researchers website for updates.

The University of Calgary COVID-19 response has required many researchers to adapt or stop their research activities, which will have a significant impact on output over the coming months. There have also been cancellations and delays of federal funding programs that will impact all researchers, but in particular, our early and mid-career researchers without long-term funding in place.

The Office of the Vice-President (Research) is hosting three online sessions for early to mid-career researchers impacted by COVID-19. In these one-hour sessions, Dr. William Ghali and members of the VPR team will discuss:
  1. Challenges specific to early and mid-career researchers during the COVID-19 response
  2. Critical Research Designation process
  3. Tri-council updates
  4. Research Services offerings (virtual info sessions and workshops)
The sessions will include time for questions. If you would like to submit your questions in advance, please email them to [email protected] prior to the start of your session.

Please note that sessions have been divided up based on subject matter areas defined by the tri-agencies, but the scope of the information session will be broader than that single funding agency.
