Students, trainees, faculty and staff, On Sept. 9 and 10, a Scholar Strike is planned across Canada to bring attention to racism and institutional brutality directed against Black, Indigenous and other racialized communities. As you’ve read in previous statements, the university and the Cumming School of Medicine (CSM) strongly condemn anti-Black racism, anti-Indigenous racism and racism in all forms. You may choose to participate in the events scheduled for today and tomorrow. In the coming weeks and months, the university will be hosting a series of conversations and workshops on this topic and I encourage you to watch for more information. Learning and working
- The IT Support Centre has extended its hours to help those returning to school or work. Until Sept. 15, the IT Support Centre will be open until 7 p.m., Monday to Friday. You can also contact the support centre on weekends between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m., throughout the year. Learn more.
- Beginning Sept. 14, the west exit of the Lot 6 parkade will be closed to allow for the next phase of reconstruction. The existing Lot 6 east entrance will be modified to temporarily act as both the entrance and exit.
