Spring and Summer 2020 Payment Plans Open to All Graduate Students
In response to the COVID pandemic, the university is opening eligibility for payment plans to all graduate students for Spring/Summer 2020 tuition. Payment plan applications must be received by 4:30 pm MST on May 29, 2020 for the Spring term, and July 24, 2020 for the Summer term. Application forms are available on theFGS COVID page.
Fall Term - Update
The university continues to monitor the evolving COVID-19 situation and we expect to have a decision on the how the Fall term will proceed before the end of May. We want to assure everyone that the Fall term will be held. Our decision will be determined by physical distancing requirements and health guidelines for COVID-19 as well as ensuring instructors can deliver rich learning experiences and for all students to advance their education. We recognize that uncertainty about the future can be very stressful and we want to ensure we make the very best decision for our whole community. Thank you for your patience.
Completed Requirements (CR) Grade Requests
UCalgary grad students have the option to request a Completed Requirements (CR) grade for each course they completed in the Winter 2020 term. You can request a CR grade after you receive final grades for your Winter 2020 courses. The CR request form will be available in your Student Centre (my.ucalgary.ca) until May 22, 2020. Learn more.
Federal Emergency Funding for Graduate Students
Students who are eligible for the Canada Emergency Student Benefit (CESB) will receive $1,250/month from May to August. Tri-Council funding recipients may be eligible for an extension to expiring scholarships and/or a supplement to existing federal research grants. Receiving CESB does not currently impact students' funding or scholarship payments.

Annual Progress Reports (APR) Annual Progress reports were generated on May 1 for all thesis-based students who were active in the Winter 2020 term. The APR requires sequential completion from the student, supervisor, co-supervisor and Graduate Program Director. Students are asked to complete their portion by May 15. Deadline for all parties is May 31, unless your program has indicated otherwise. Look for the Annual Progress report Icon in your Student Centre.
May Registration and Fee Payment Deadlines Graduate students who started their program in May need to activate their registration before the posted deadline. Check the Academic Schedule for all registration and fee payment deadlines.
