Starting Thursday, April 2, buildings on main campus will be transitioning to electronic or key access only. Faculty and staff who have been identified as requiring regular building access can still access buildings through the use of their Unicard or issued keys.

Enrollment Services has compiled an FAQ website based on common inquiries at this time of the year and provided some alternatives for students to access these transactions/supports in alternative ways. If in doubt, students can contact the Faculty of Graduate Studies and we will work to determine the best way to support them and their specific circumstances.
Thesis submissions: All students must submit their final thesis forms by email to [email protected], instead of in person. Please login with your CAS credentials at www.prism.ucalgary.ca/login prior to submitting your forms so that you can be set up with access to the Vault. Please contact your GPO If you are facing a COVID-19 related delay in submitting your thesis.
Candidacy and thesis exams: Newregulations have been developed to support remote candidacy and thesis exams, in effect from now until the end of August.
Completion of candidacy examinations: As a one-time exception - students who have a successful examination up to the end of day Friday, May 8, are eligible to have their fees changed to a continuing rate.
Applications for Spring/Summer payment plans are now available here. Applications must be submitted to FGS by the Spring/Summer fee payment deadline of May 15, 2020.
Spring general fees Most graduate students are registered for a 12 month period. General Fees (Active Living, UPass, Student Services) are collected in the Fall, Winter and Spring terms, regardless of whether students are taking a course in that term. Students can check their student centre in mid-April for an updated balance. Please note that Active Living fees are currently suspended and will remain so for the duration of the COVID-related university closure. UPass fees are suspended until September 2020.
