Dr. Anke currently serves as the Training Program Director for the Section of Pediatric Nephrology and a Clinical Associate Professor at the University of Calgary.

36th National Pediatric Resident Research Competition
Christine Lukac PGY-3 on May 2, 2024 was awarded 2nd place on behalf of the UCalgary Pediatrics program at the 36th National Pediatric Research Competition, held in Saskatoon!
Title: Hospitalizations for acute respiratory diseases among children in Alberta, Canada, before and during the COVID-19 pandemic.
The impact statement is "In Alberta, during the 2022 - 2023 winter season we cared for 50% more children in hospital with acute respiratory diseases. However, of the hospitalized children 12% required PICU admission and their average age was 23 months which was similar to prior years."

AHS Early-stage Investigator Research Award Recipients
Dr. Serena L. Orr received one of the two American Headache Society Early-stage Investigator Research Awards for her project entitled: "Childhood anxiety and depression and the development of migraine in adolescence: a longitudinal Canadian cohort study".
