How to Order Lab Work on an Operative Encounter for Non-Surgical Providers
Please view the provided flowsheet below if a non-surgical provider wants to have lab work drawn while a patient of theirs is in the OR. The required lab work must be ordered directly on the patient's surgical encounter as a signed and held order. Following the normal ambulatory workflow makes it difficult for SSSU to be aware that the lab work is needed or even to decipher what lab work is required.
