This week-long initiative is dedicated to recognizing the invaluable contributions of basic science to society. From unravelling the secrets of the cosmos to deciphering the complexities of the microscopic world, basic science forms the base upon which all other branches of research grow.

Calgary Parkinson’s Research Initiative (CaPRI) will be hosting Picnic for Parkinson’s, an event designed to bring people together and raise awareness for Parkinson’s Disease and related movement disorders. This is a family-friendly gathering, featuring face-painting, outdoor games, Big T’s food truck, and physio tips from local physio clinics. Free registration can be found here.
