Nominations for 2024 CSM Equity, Diversity, Inclusion, and Accessibility (EDIA) Award now open until November 1, 2024! The Cumming School of Medicine (CSM) values equity, diversity and inclusive excellence in our health care, research, and medical education. We recognize and celebrate those in the CSM community who are making a difference.
One award of $1500 will be given to the award recipient or divided equally amongst those named in the winning nomination.

New Kinsmen Chair in Pediatric Neurosciences Improving Quality of Life for Babies With Potentially Fatal Brain Condition
As the newest recipient of the Kinsmen Chair in Pediatric Neurosciences at the Alberta Children’s Hospital Research Institute, Dr. Jay Riva-Cambrin is researching whether a less-invasive treatment for children with hydrocephalus could lead to fewer side-effects and a higher quality of life long-term.

Alberta Children's Hospital Complex Care ECHO
The Alberta Children’s Hospital Complex Care Program is inviting all healthcare providers to register for their upcoming ECHO (Extensions for Community Health Outcomes) Project focused on children with medical complexity.

ECHO aims to foster a virtual case-based learning environment and community of practice for pediatric complex care. The ECHO will commence in January 2025, offering 6 sessions throughout the year that will see topics related to enteral nutrition, clinical ethics, pain, dystonia management, bone health, and resources.
