Strategic Planning Engagement Survey - Summary Report
Thank you to those who completed the strategic planning engagement survey!
Click here to view the summary report.
Over the next few weeks, there will be a second opportunity to share your thoughts at your respective section meetings.
The consultant engaged in this process will present the findings and invite discussion about whether or not they resonate with you, and what might be missing from the preliminary engagement. This is an excellent opportunity to highlight both section specific needs and also overarching opportunities for the Department. A summary of the section engagement sessions will be completed and used to inform a leadership strategic planning retreat on May 10. Thank you again for your ongoing engagement in shaping the future of the Department! |

Measles Has Landed!
The global resurgence of measles has arrived at our borders in 2024, involving several provinces particularly a growing outbreak in Quebec. Some families are returning from out of province travel, others are planning for upcoming Spring Break so there will be many opportunities for measles exposures. For a refresher see: Measles: For health professionals - Canada.ca
Please ensure that you have had 2 documented doses of measles-containing vaccine or have a positive measles IgG. This will ensure you are considered immune and able to work even if you are exposed to measles. Check your MyHealth Records: https://myhealth.alberta.ca/myhealthrecords . Vaccines are our best defense! Encourage all patients/families to ensure measles vaccines are up to date; they can call 811 or their local public health unit to book an appointment. See Measles (alberta.ca) for parent information. |
