Save the Date: February 14 Grand Rounds
Some of you may be aware of the CPSA’s Physician Practice Improvement Program – PPIP. This is a continuing competence, practice driven quality program launched in 2021. Physician participation in this program is mandatory and requires the submission of objective data. We have heard from several Department members who were unaware or uncertain of the requirements of this program.
To that end, we have arranged for a CPSA representative to present to the Department at Pediatric Grand Rounds on Wednesday, February 14, 2024 at 8:30 am.
- Presenter: Dr. Danielle Michaels, Senior Medical Advisor, CPSA
- Topic: College of Physician and Surgeons of Alberta – Physician Practice Improvement Program
- Date: Wednesday, February 14 at 8:30 am (Pediatric Grand Rounds)
We strongly encourage all physician members of the Department to attend as this program will affect everyone, and we want to make you aware of your reporting obligations. The CPSA has asked that you review the following information – 4 short video links – which describe the basics of the program. Dr. Michaels will add to this information and provide some practical examples/methods of how to meet the new CPSA standards. The PPIP videos can be accessed using the following links provided by the CPSA (please use Google Chrome):
