Join us this semester for a Schulich Soundstage Music Session, hosted by Schulich Wellness in ENA 06. This event is free of charge and is open to all UCalgary students, faculty and staff.

Guitar (Pukraj and Tusher)
This introductory guitar workshop will provide students with the necessary skills required to begin learning the guitar. Students will be taught how to approach a song, or an exercise so they can get the most out of it Topics include reading tabs, rhythm, picking, fingerstyle guitar techniques. Instructors will provide attendees with a unique individualized lesson on the guitar during this 1 hour workshop. No prior music experience is required to attend. Open to all students and faculty at the University of Calgary.
Capacity: 10 people
Piano (Justin and Megan)
This introductory piano workshop will provide students with the necessary skills required to begin learning the piano. Topics include, rhythm, reading music, basic theory, and hands-on learning with the piano. Instructors will provide attendees with a unique individualized lesson on the piano during this 1 hour workshop. No prior music experience required to attend. Open to all students and faculty at the University of Calgary.

Cajon (Rodrigo)
This introductory percussion workshop will provide students with the necessary skills required to begin learning basic percussion. Topics include rhythms, beats, basic theory, and hands-on learning with the cajón. Instructors will provide attendees with a unique individualized lesson on the cajón during this 1-hour workshop. No prior music experience is required to attend. Open to all students and faculty at the University of Calgary.

Music Theory (Maria)
This introductory music workshop will provide students with the necessary skills required to begin learning western music theory. Topics include, notes, scales, rhythm, keys, intervals, chords and chord progressions. Instructors will provide attendees with a detailed lesson on music theory during this 1 hour workshop. No prior music experience required to attend. Open to all students and faculty at the University of Calgary.
