Houston Peschl is an instructor of Entrepreneurship, Innovation, and Sustainable Development in UCalgary's Haskayne School of Business. He started his entrepreneurial journey in the town of Canmore, Alberta at the age of 13. Disappointed and frustrated with a summer job as a dishwasher for the local greasy spoon, he decided to start a landscaping company. Seven successful start-ups have followed, along with the passion to solve the world's problems through entrepreneurial thinking.

Alex Bruton is a senior instructor in Engineering Entrepreneurship in the Schulich School of Engineering. A life-long entrepreneur, speaker and facilitator, he has delivered a talk at Google’s Innovation Week and fostered innovative thinking from Moscow, to Mexico, to Seattle, to Waterloo.

Joelle Foster, our emcee for the evening, is the executive director of the Hunter Hub for Entrepreneurial Thinking at the University of Calgary.  She is best known as a spirited activist for entrepreneurship in Canada.  As a Director for Futurpreneur, she oversaw Manitoba, Alberta, Saskatchewan, Nunavut and NWT.  Under her leadership, in Manitoba alone, 325 businesses have opened their doors since 2011.  She has affectionately earned the title of "Start-Up Mom".  In recognition of her work, Joelle was the 2017 recipient of Voluteer of the Year Award from the Winnipeg Chamber of Commerce.
