This course is designed to equip learners with hands-on skills to deal with common fractures and dislocations seen in the rural emergency departments. The course will include short case-based presentations on specific fractures, a discussion of diagnosis and treatment, demonstration of the applicable cast and/or splint and hands-on practice. The morning will focus on fractures and dislocations of the upper limbs and the afternoon will focus on the lower limbs. Participants will practice on each other, including applying splints and casts. (Appropriate attire is recommended.)
