Last Lecture: Graham David Livesey

Graham Livesey is preparing for retirement and has agreed to a "Last Lecture" to share his experience and knowledge earned throughout his career. Join us in this enlightening session as we celebrate Dr. Livesey and his contributions.

Architecture and the City: Reflections on a Career

The presentation is structured around three thematic ideas (narratives, assemblages, and ecologies) that have helped shape my thinking since 1991, when I joined the Faculty of Environmental Design (now the School of Architecture, Planning and Landscape). These concepts have informed my teaching and various writing projects. Areas of focus include practice undertaken with Down + Livesey Architects, evolving student work from design studios, and material from the book Canadian Modern Architecture, 1967 to the Present (co-edited with Elsa Lam, published in 2019).

Date: Friday, November 10, 2023
Time: 5:00 - 8:00 p.m. (MT)
Location: City Building Design Lab, 616 MacLeod Trail SE
