Climate Café

Date and time: Friday, October 27, 5:00 - 6:30 p.m. MT

Location: Faith & Spirituality Centre, 4th Floor MacEwan Hall

As climate change and ecological destruction become more prevalent in day-to-day life, it impacts the health and well-being of individuals and communities.

Lots of people find it hard to discuss climate change with those close to them, fearful that it is too heavy a subject. Our purpose is to break the spell of isolation around climate change. At the climate café, participants are encouraged to participate in facilitated discussions about climate change and emotions. We believe that by recognizing climate grief, in all of its forms, we can build strong communities that are prepared to solve climate problems. In the past we have held group discussions about guilt, anxiety, social media, doomscrolling, anger, creativity, art, and joy in the Anthropocene.
