Engineering for Humanity

Engineering for Humanity

If you are curious about the way engineers make the world a better place, eager to know how the biomedical field is changing with new engineer-driven technology, or interested in a nontraditional career path, this exciting new event series is for you!

The Schulich School of Engineering is pleased to invite students in Grades 10-12 to join us to learn about Engineering for Humanity Lecture Series.

Engineers develop technologies that connect people and communities, protect society from natural and unnatural disasters, turn waste into fuel, make cancer detection faster and more accurate, and much more. With the world’s challenges becoming increasingly complex, engineers are required to be more innovative, collaborative and empathetic than ever before.

The Engineering for Humanity event series explores how engineering solutions are developed around the world, and how engineering impacts our society and improves lives. You will interact with our current students to learn about their perspectives, including how internship, student clubs, and global and experiential learning opportunities enrich their experience and shape their goals. We are also inviting industry experts and researchers to share their findings and latest trends in the engineering world.

This year we will be offering a mix of in-person sessions and virtual events. To find out more and to register your attendance please follow the link below. All registrants who attend the events will be entered to win win a prize valued at least CAD$200. We will be announcing a winner in December and June!
