We invite you to join us as we bring together a Haskayne researcher, Dr. Julie Weatherhead, PhD along with Distinguished Business Leader Award recipient Andrea Robertson ICD.D, President and CEO STARS. Together, they will explore leadership selection and training from both a research perspective and what happens in practice. About the speakers:
Andrea Robertson ICD.D is the President and Chief Executive Officer of STARS. In this role she is responsible for the overall direction of operations and works to build relationships with donors, governments and key partners. Prior to STARS, Robertson spent nearly 30 years in a variety of health care leadership roles at Alberta Health Services, Foothills Medical Centre and Alberta Children’s Hospital.
She is a member of the board of directors for the Calgary Airport Authority and Canadian Pacific Railway. Robertson was named a Top 100 winner of Women's Executive Network's Canada's Most Powerful Women in 2014. She was the recipient of the 2022 Distinguished Business Leader Award from the Haskayne School of Business.
Dr. Julie Weatherhead, PhD is an assistant professor Organizational Behaviour and Human Resources at the Haskayne School of Business. The primary focus of her research is on varying aspects of leadership. She is involved in a longitudinal research study investigating the effects of socioeconomic status on different aspects of leadership emergence and is attempting to better understand who becomes a leader and who does not.
Moderator will be Dr. Justin Weinhardt, PhD, associate professor Organizational Behaviour and Human Resources at the Haskayne School of Business.
