Join the UCalgary Emeriti Association for an afternoon discussing cybersecurity and staying safe online. Hear from Dr. Emily Laidlaw, PhD, associate professor in the Faculty of Law and Dr. Thomas Keenan, PhD, professor in the School of Architecture, Planning and Landscape as they present on the following topics:

  • Platform Security: How do we address online harms?
  • Fakes Aren’t Funny – How to Make Yourself a Less Tasty Target for Scammers

Their discussion will explore the answers to some of society’s most topical questions, including:

  • What is the current thinking about privacy?
  • Can we protect ourselves from online abuse?
  • Can we be public and private at the same time?
