Elders Teaching Series: Alice Kaquitts

Join ii’ taa’poh’to’p, UCalgary’s Indigenous Strategy, to hear traditional knowledge, worldview, and language, and approaches to healing with respect to cultural wellbeing, intergenerational trauma, and Indigenous ways of knowing, doing, connecting, and being. This series will welcome Elders living in the Treaty 7 region of southern Alberta and will be hosted by Elissa Twoyoungmen, UCalgary’s Indigenous Cultural Education and Protocol Specialist.

Our first event in this series will be moderated by Keeta Gladue, Indigenous Student Program Advisor: Success and Engagement at UCalgary's WSL, and will welcome Elder Alice Kaquitts speaking to Îethka Nakoda Traditional Parenting Practices.
