Indigenous Knowledge Public Lecture Series: Dr. Paulette Regan

Join ii’ taa’poh’to’p, UCalgary’s Indigenous Strategy, as we welcome thought-provoking Indigenous thinkers across all disciplines, honouring UCalgary’s commitment to truth and reconciliation. This is the third event in this year’s Indigenous Knowledge Public Lecture Series and, for this occasion, we will be learning about the role that allies have in transformative reconciliation in Canada.

Hosted by Dr. Michael Hart, PhD, UCalgary’s vice-provost of Indigenous Engagement, this event will offer perspectives on decolonizing and transformative reconciliation from feature speaker Dr. Paulette Regan, PhD, author of Unsettling the Settler Within: Indian Residential Schools, Truth Telling, and Reconciliation in Canada.

These events are meant to highlight Indigenous leaders, scholars, artists and Knowledge Keepers and spark key community conversations as we all work together to increase intercultural capacity and build good relations through awareness and knowledge.
