Elders Teachings Series: Women's Voices

Join ii’ taa’poh’to’p, UCalgary’s Indigenous Strategy, to hear traditional oral teachings, stories and reflections from Elders from the Treaty 7 region of southern Alberta. The Elders’ Teaching Series provides a public platform for sharing traditional knowledge and knowledge systems as part of our path forward towards transformative reconciliation.

Our moderator will be Dr. Jennifer Leason, who will be joined by Stoney Nakoda Elder Una Wesley, Tsuut'ina Elder Diane Meguinis, and Saulteaux Spiritual Healer and Cree Elder Vinnia Van Overdyke to tell stories about traditional Indigenous women's roles and how women can walk forward with power and pride.
