Policy and a Pint - Same Old, or New Beginnings? Analyzing the U.S. 2020 Election

If you thought 2016 was the election to end all elections, fasten your seat belts.

The U.S. 2020 election will be held in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic, in the wake of an impeachment hearing, with a voting public more polarized than ever. The House of Representatives and a third of the Senate are up for re-election; how might political dynamics change? With Joe Biden as the presumed Democratic nominee, who will be his running mate?

Pundits who tried to call the 2016 election are still licking their wounds. But that won't stop our experts from weighing in on 2020, the race for President, Congress and Senate. What are the historical trends, the political influences and the implications for Canada?

Grab your favorite drink to join our panel of experts for a virtual policy and a pint on Wednesday, May 27th. This event is perfect for those who like to lift an elbow, while learning.
