Shelly Qualtieri, BA’98 is a Registered Social Worker & counsellor for adults & children. She has been working in the social and human services field for over 25 – years and has experience in the areas of: suicide intervention, awareness and prevention, domestic violence, youth justice, child welfare, mental health, and homelessness within Canada and Australia. Shelly has her own private counselling practice, is a consultant and trainer for the Centre for Suicide Prevention, and facilitates training for the Crisis Trauma Resource Institute and ACHIEVE Center for Leadership & Workplace Performance. She is passionate about supporting people - big or small - on their journey to feel more happiness, connection, confidence & fulfillment. If you are stuck or struggling with anxiety or depression, thoughts or behaviours of suicide or self-harm, relationship challenges, connection, self-esteem & confidence, conflict resolution or communication, anger or frustration, life-work balance, or self-care.

Akash Asif, BSc’15, BComm’15, MPP’18 graduated from the University of Calgary in 2015 with a Bachelor of Science in psychology and Bachelor of Commerce in petroleum land management. Upon graduation, he worked for a software consulting firm and held responsibilities for market development and software implementation. During this time, he also ran SupportWorks, a Calgary-based organization providing free peer support to people dealing with mental health issues.
In 2018, Akash completed a Master of Public Policy at the University of Calgary’s School of Public Policy. Shortly after, he joined the Centre for Suicide Prevention as the lead for partnerships and external relations"
