Dr. Chris Mody, MD, is a clinician scientist and professor, and head of the Department of Microbiology, Immunology and Infectious Diseases at the University of Calgary. He is a pulmonologist and respirologist interested in lung infections, and his laboratory performs basic immunology and translational research in the area of microbial host defense. He is active in the area of vaccine promotion and has received awards for clinical excellence. He currently manages a combined basic science lab and a major clinical department; he has been awarded for sustained contributions in the medical and research field.
