USA Day 2019
Sunny with a chance of space weather

University of Calgary International, Faculty of Science and the U.S. Consulate General in Calgary are pleased to invite you to USA Day 2019. This year is the 50th anniversary of the moon landing, so what better way to celebrate UCalgary’s first USA Day than by exploring space! The event will focus on Canada - U.S. collaboration on space research and will feature exhibits and a keynote address by Dr. Nicola Fox of NASA.

Date: Tuesday, October 15, 2019
Time: 5:30 - 8 p.m.
Place: MacEwan Hall A/B, University of Calgary

Nicola Fox is the Heliophysics Division Director in the Science Mission Directorate at NASA Headquarters in Washington, DC. Heliophysics is not only vital to understanding Earth’s most important and life-sustaining star, but the study of key space phenomena and processes supports situational awareness to better protect astronauts, satellites, and robotic missions exploring the solar system and beyond.

Entrance to this event is free. Popcorn and hot dogs will be served, and a cash bar will be available. Dress is business casual.
