Gender Equity Issues in Higher Education
What factors might contribute to gender inequity and inequality in universities? What are the necessary steps that can and should be taken to achieve gender equity, such as career development and mentoring programs, institutional support, and programs to address bias?

- Dr. Rebecca Sullivan, PhD, Professor Faculty of Art
Rebecca specializes in feminist media and cultural studies. Her work bridges analysis of popular cultural representations with media industries and political, legal and regulatory frameworks that circumscribe women's agency and bodily integrity in the public sphere.
- Linda McKay-Panos, Sessional Instructor, Faculty of Law
Linda is an author and lawyer. In her most recent role, she is the Executive Director of the Alberta Civil Liberties Research Centre.
This event is a lunch and learn hosted by the Office of Diversity, Equity and Protected Disclosure. Participants are encouraged to bring their own lunch to the event. Light refreshments will be provided.
