Registration to Judge at the Engineering Design Fair
Thank you for your interest in volunteering to judge at the Capstone Engineering Design Fair. This competition is a requirement for engineering students in their final year and an opportunity for them to showcase their skills and coursework.
Requirements for Judges:
- Holds an industry position or has relevant background experience in industry related to specific engineering programs for judging
- Comfortable with judging student work and conferring with a team of faculty, industry and others who will also be on your judging team
- Willingness to share your knowledge and experience with young people
- Pride in the Profession of Engineering
Responsibilities:
You will be judging student teams based on their communication skills and a student poster. You will be provided brief project descriptions for review the week of March 26th, and then speak to the teams face-to-face the day of the design fair on April 3rd, between 2 pm – 7 pm, during which time you will confer with your judging team to determine the best project award(s).
