RBC Fast Pitch Competition 2018

Join us to watch our top undergraduate entrepreneurial thinkers from ENTI 317 pitch their new venture concepts to a panel of esteemed judges. Up for grabs is $100,000 in cash and in-kind prizes to further develop their ideas into true startup ventures!

The RBC Fast Pitch Competition aims to foster entrepreneurial thinking by equipping students with the tools they need to enter a business environment that’s changing rapidly. It gives them an opportunity to explore new business ideas, get creative with limited resources and practice their pitching skills in front of an engaged and encouraging audience

Attendees will have the opportunity to network with our local entrepreneurial community and will hear from Bruce Leslie, Vice President of Trade and Investment Attraction at Calgary Economic Development, about the economic transformation currently underway in our city and province.

We couldn't ignite the entrepreneurial spirit of Haskayne students without the continued and unwavering support of our partners. Special thanks to RBC Royal Bank, Market Grade, McCarthy Tetrault LLP and MNP LLP in Calgary for making this a truly spectacular event and for creating a unique opportunity for our student entrepreneurs.

About ENTI 317 - Entrepreneurial Thinking

This required course in the Bachelor of Commerce program at the Haskayne School of Business provides exposure to entrepreneurial thought leaders, paradigms around global best practices, and strategies that are utilized by impactful entrepreneurs and intrapreneurs (behaving like an entrepreneur while working in a small, medium or large sized organization).

We foster an entrepreneurial mindset by providing students with opportunities to explore emerging opportunities, get creative with limited resources, fail forward, and practice their pitching skills in front of an engaged and encouraging audience. Through interactions with Team Hunter, our community of experienced entrepreneurs and business leaders, students receive valuable feedback on their way to creating a highly impactful and highly feasible business opportunity.
