Luther’s Legacies: 500 years of Reformation

University of Calgary International, the Faculty of Arts and the Honorary Consul of the Federal Republic of Germany are pleased to invite you to Germany Day, a celebration of German culture that will feature a lecture, authentic German food and complimentary refreshments, and a panel discussion.

Date: Monday, October 2

Time: 5-8 p.m.

*Lecture starts at 5:15 p.m. with reception and panel discussion to follow. Doors close at 9 p.m.

Place: MacEwan Student Centre Ballroom

Dr. Susan Karant-Nunn, the director of the Division for Late Medieval and Reformation Studies at the University of Arizona, will discuss why modern people should be interested in Martin Luther’s legacy 500 years after the Reformation, including its influence on the emerging state, women and sexuality.

Entrance to this event is free and refreshments will be provided. Public parking is available in the Arts Parkade.
