PACE & ASSET Upcoming Courses
The Pediatric Acute Care Education (PACE) Program at KidSIM offers a broad range of courses that are all simulation-based. PACE provides learners surrogate clinical experience with pediatric patients through hands-on training using high-fidelity mannequins. Course offerings include; PALS, BLS, PEARS, TNCC, ENPC, and NRP. Custom course offerings for teams are available.

The Advanced Skills for Simulation Educators and Teachers (ASSET) courses introduce participants to all of the concepts of simulation and debriefing, and provide practical experience in the delivery of simulation-based education. Courses are offered to all Alberta Health Services & University of Calgary faculty and students. Both virtual and in-person courses, hosted at the Alberta Children’s Hospital, are available. AHS Physician Leaders Healing Group
AHS is offering a facilitated peer-support group for physicians who self-identify as having experienced trauma or diversity struggles within their workplace settings.
This discussion group will be a facilitated space to share experiences and receive support. The discussions are not equivalent to therapy, but you may find them to be therapeutic.

Child Health and Wellness Seminar: "An Alternate Regimen for Pediatric Haematopoietic Stem Cell Transplantation" Monday, May 1, 2023 | 8:30 AM – 9:30 AM | Virtual (via Zoom) Calgary is unique in the use of Busulfan with a lower-than-conventional pharmacokinetic target, a higher dose Fludarabine and a low dose TBI as a conditioning regimen prior to hematopoietic stem cell transplant.
