Update: Youth proxy access in MyAHS Connect

Based on recent feedback from frontline care providers and their patients, a decision has been made to revise the planned change to limit youth proxy access in MyAHS Connect, the patient portal in Connect Care.

I See You, I Appreciate You - Recognize a Resident
Resident Appreciation Week (February 5 - 9) is a national celebration and opportunity to acknowledge and thank resident physicians for their significant contributions to the health of the communities they serve. We encourage you to take a moment this week to let a resident know that they are appreciated!

Medical Genetics Cardiogenetics Symposium Friday, February 2, 2024 | 8:45 AM – 4:30 PM | In-Person, Alberta Children’s Hospital Amphitheatre, 4th Floor The Cardiogenetics Symposium is a day-long event focused on educating all providers on novel updates to our understanding of disease mechanisms and treatments in cardiogenetics. Speakers include Dr. Lisa Hornberger from the University of Alberta, as well as local clinical and non-clinical subject experts. 1st International Summit on Implantable BCI for Children with Complex Needs Monday, February 5, 2024 | 8:00 AM – 1:30 PM | Virtual (via Zoom) We are excited to announce the First International Summit on Implantable BCIs for Children with Complex Needs (iBCI-CCN 2024), which aims to outline the roadmap for the development of implantable BCI systems for children and young adults living with complex needs. The event will take place over two parts, with the first being an open half-day summit with talks and discussion from leaders across the world in spaces that can help set the stage for establishing a pathway forward for implantable BCI systems for children with complex needs. 2024 Pediatric Infectious Disease Conference Friday, February 9 - Sunday, February 11, 2024 | In-Person, Fairmont Banff Springs Hotel This course is designed for Pediatricians, Family Physicians, Residents and Allied Health Professionals. We aim to present recent advances and updates in pediatric infectious diseases in ways that are applicable and relevant to the practicing physician. 47th American Academy of Pediatrics District 8 Section of Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine Conference Thursday, June 20 - Sunday, June 23, 2024 | In-Person, Banff Centre for Arts and Creativity This conference will provide recent advances in the delivery room management of neonates, along with talks on neonatal stroke and HIE, and up-to-date information on the long-term neurodevelopmental outcomes of premature infants. Additionally, the conference will cover nutrition in neonates and explore new developments in the field of nutrition in neonatology to improve the outcomes of our tiniest newborns.
