Geoffrey Hay, an associate professor in UCalgary’s Department of Geography in the Faculty of Arts, leads an active graduate and post-doctoral research program titled “The Thermal Remote Sensing of Urban Energy Efficiency”. He will share his work and answer your questions about MyHEAT, a website that maps where energy is escaping from your home, and the steps you can take to stop this.

Mishka Lysack, an associate professor in the Faculty of Social Work, leads research focused on the connections between a healthy environment, renewable energy and a sustainable economy, as well as citizen and community engagement in renewable energy. He will share his research and answer your questions on what we can learn from Germany’s success in adopting renewable energy and apply it in Canada and Alberta.
