Tara Christie, PhD’09
Tara is an alumna of the universities of Manitoba and Calgary, graduating with a PhD in molecular biology during the economic downturn of 2008. This timing led her to consider other career paths as teaching positions became scarce. She discovered her skillset was applicable to many jobs outside of teaching and research; this ultimately led her to a position helping develop and manage the graduate and summer research programs at the University of Calgary’s Faculty of Veterinary Medicine. Tara currently manages UCalgary’s My GradSkills professional development program for graduate students.
