Community Health and Well-Being

How can our communities address issues such as inactivity, sedentary behavior, stress, anxiety, and depression, amongst many others? Healthy communities cannot exist outside of healthy ecosystems and if we feel connected to our environment we will be motivated to protect it.  However, not everyone has equal access to a healthy lifestyle. Do our communities offer walkability, good access to public transportation, recreation facilities, green spaces, community centres and gardens? How can we ensure opportunities for everyone to engage in their own well-being?

Join our panel of experts for a roundtable discussion that explores the future of health over the next 20 years in Calgary and beyond. Our speakers will address a variety of issues around health and well-being in southern Alberta’s communities.

If you’re interested in your health, and that of your community, this event is for you.
