In this webinar, Haskayne School of Business researchers delve into their research to answer these and other related questions. Jim Dewald, dean, and Seok-Woo Kwon, associate professor share their findings on what puts some cities and companies on the path to success and greatness while others languish or fail.

ABOUT THE SPEAKERS

Jim Dewald is the dean of the Haskayne School of Business and an associate professor in the strategy and entrepreneurship. A business leader who can provide an effective bridge between strategy theory and on-the-ground practice, his research interests are related to the micro-foundations of strategy formulation and implementation. Specifically, his work has contributed to the constructs of cognitive resilience, entrepreneurial thinking and strategic response to disruptive innovations, most specifically business model innovations.

Seok-Woo Kwon is an associate professor in UCalgary's Haskayne School of Business. His research interests focus on entrepreneurship, knowledge management and organization theory.
